Back on with the job hunt seeings as it's Monday. Lots of work experience opportunities have just come up in my area, but guess what. I'm not allowed to apply because I can't claim job seekers allowance. Really?! Quite frankly I think, seeing as I can't claim any benefits, I am in need of a job more than people claiming JSA because I can't afford to eat(bit of an over statement I still have enough monies to eat for the next month). But why am I being denied even to work for free?! It's an eight week work experience placement, thus meaning that the people undergoing this work placement will, most likely, not be looking for employment during this time. But the government will still allow them their benefits, even though one of the criteria for claiming JSA is that you are constantly looking for employment. I just want to work. Why will no one let me?!
On a slightly more positive note, later this month(if I still haven't found a job) I will be going on an intensive employability scheme funned by Unlocking Cornish Potential. It is A 2 week 9-5 taking place in various places on Cornwall. If I can't get a job after that I will cry.
