As many of you know, I didn't get the film internship I wrote about in my last post. And unfortunately due to having to run a Cafe/bar for three days, I haven't been able to go on the Graduate scheme either. Although got a phone call from the organiser and told her about what I was doing and she said I'm pretty much doing everything I can and something should come along with my name on it soon. Let's hope it does.

I do technically have a job now, as a promo girl for a drinks company. It's part-time chose which shifts you want, dress up, go round selling tickets to events and persuading people to buy the drink. I looked at the Facebook profile for it, I think there's some kind of attractiveness quality you need to do this job. And although I emailed, they have infacted added me on Facebook I assume to make sure I wouldn't make punters run a mile. However, this job isn't till the end of next month. But it's £7 an hour non the less.

Saw a discussion post on a Linkedin group I'm apart of the other day, and emailed the company to find out more. I was told that they get so many CV's that they didn't want one, just an A4 sheet explaing/showing them why I was right for the job. Considering it was a position for a copywrite to write content, press releases, articles etc. I decided to do a press release about myself. I will post it up alters. I thought it was amazing. Now been followed on twitter, so it can't have been horrific.

I was going to fill in another application form in last night, but after 13 hours of selling coffee and booze, I was knackered and decided it would be best just to go to sleep, so I will have to get on that later. It's for a Marketing Apprentice, £100 a week and I think a qualification at the end of it. It won't really be enough money to live on, but I don't know if I will be able to subsidise it. Will have to look into it.

I've also applied to a cafe/bar full time. While on the phone with the recruitment agency they asked me if it would be something I'd be intrested in even though I had a degree. I really don't think they understand how hard it is to get a job at the moment, let alone one I want to develop into a career. I get turned down for a lot of entry level/casual work be because I have a degree and turned down for other jobs because I don't have three years experience in that industry. I will literally do anything so I can eat and pay rent/bills.
