Had an interview this morning!
It's a pretty bad taboo if you turn up for an interview late right? Well I arrive 15 minutes early to find out that everyone was running late today. Sat in about three different cold waiting/meeting rooms. Then I had a chat with the person I would be doing the job share with, a very informal chat which included talking about a bar in town she used to work in, which business have been sold and the important matter or Shades closing down and the fact that this is one of the only jobs that you nearly do any work yet get paid very well for it.
I then had a nice walk over to another building to have my interview with two people. It was a lot different from the two interviews I had last week. They had written out questions they wanted to ask me then scribbled down my answers as I said them. They did not as me why I wanted this jobs even though I did film which was nice. I even told them I was think about doing an MA along with this job, funnily enough it would happen at the same campus and they said as long as I could fit the course along side the job as my work hours would not be flexible. But saying that it's three and a half hours a day. I think it went well overall, I made them laugh and the was a good atmosphere in the room, nice and calm.
I then had to complete three admin/computer tasks. On Vista. I hate Vista, why people didn't stick to Windows 98 is beond me. Saying that I had 45 minutes for the task and did it in about 25. Although mail mergers did not go well, the contact list wasn't actually on the system so technically I failed that task as my email was being sent to no one.
I was told they will most likely decide today and let me know, so we'll see how that goes.
I still haven't heard back from one of the interviews I had last week. I assume they will email today to tell me if I have a second email or not. If they don't email by 3pm I might send them a quick email asking so I know.
I have also applied for a two month internship which starts interviewing on the 6th so hopefully I will hear about that soon as it starts the middle of this month. I am also waiting on a marketing job which had its co owing date today. And I now have to wait four weeks and if I haven't heard anything by then have not been sucessfukl.
On with the job hunt! Have already applied for another job today and I have an application form to fill in for another.
