This week hasn't been the best week ever. I've had three rejections and still waiting on on one outcome. Haven't heard back about my MA, and the job I got a tip off about doesn't seem to exsist. Wonderful.
I am now officially in my overdraft. For having no income at all for the past three weeks I think this is pretty good going. I didn't have an overdraft for the whole three years of my degree it was only after I've sort of needed one.
Recently I've been wondering a) If this blog is a good idea and b) do employers actually read it. On one hand this blog is a good idea for me. I get to rant and rave about not having a job and fell a lot better afterwards, but do employers read it and then read something they don't like? I try not to write anything incriminating, and even at interview I'm quite open about other interviews I go on. Do employers just think I'll get something somewhere else? Or do they even read it? It is a link I send in a covering letter to web based jobs. But no one asks about it in interview as if they've read it.
I've now added one of the generic CV's I have to this blog. I'm pretty sick of CV's and applications at the moment, I'd much rather send them to my blog. I re-write covering letters and CVs so often now it's ridiculous and many times I get no reply what so ever, not even an automated one to say they have received my email.
Speculative emails haven't gone much better, had one reply saying that they wouldn't have any work for me as they are so small. When will something turn up?
