So I had two interviews today. Two very different styles of interview.
The first one was 10:30am this morning and was quite a relaxed, not exactly informal but not overly formal, with three people. Which at first was a bit daunting, but i easier into it and had a lovely chat with some lovely people.
I think it went well, they seemed very enthusiastic about various skills I had that would benefit them, but were not mentioned in the job description and should hear back about it Monday at the latest. Did my sums and used a tax calculator to work out what i'd actually get, and I know I could comfortably live off it, and finally afford to learn to drive.
The second one was this afternoon at 2pm, after getting slightly lost, I did manage to get there five/ten minutes early. Had a very brief talk about what the position was about, would I be confident doing it etc etc. This was with two people. Slightly more daunting, there was a lot of information thrown at me very quickly. I think first impression wise, it went okay, not amazing. But I will hear back by Friday to see if I get a second interview.
These where my first ever job interviews. Ever.
So fingers crossed.
Still applying for jobs, todays was for a Research Assistant & Copy Writer internship, which is 2 months paid work. Deadline is on 30th of this month and Interviews are on 6th of September. I am also in the process of trying to send cornwallscoolest.com an email to see if I can contribute to their website so I can prove I have good copy writing skills to employers. Unfortunately I keep getting "Delivery Status Notification (Failure)" emails sent back. Will try and sort this out on twitter.
