About me

Hi my names Lucy. I'm a twenty-three year old graduate who's been searching for a cool media job since I graduated two years ago.

I have a 2:1 in Film from Falmouth. As much as people like to imagine I spent three years making films drinking insane amount of coffee and discussing the subtle nuances of auteurship in Michael Bays Transformers,  I didn't. I spent about a year making films and the other two writing academically about film. So basically I have an English degree, but instead of reading books I watch films. Lots of film. Lots of essays.

I also dabbled in film journalism and though a series of connections got to interview one of my all time film heroes. Lindsey MacGowen. A lot of people won't know who he is. Not many people have ever interviewed him. He's worked on some massive name films including Jurassic Park and Avatar. If you want to know more about him you can read my interview with him here.

Basically I have a 2:1 in writing about film over several writing disciplines with a dusting of special effects make up added in for good measures.

I am more lost than ever since coming out to university. I have a broad rang of cool media jobs I'd like to do. PR, Community Management, film producer, editor, event manager. Basically all I really want to do is work on really cool stuff with really cool people. I'd be unbelievable content with that. Big companies, small companies, start-ups I don't mind. I just need to be around like minded people who want to collaborate and make something amazing happen.

Along with a comprehensive knowledge of how to survive a zombie apocalypse, the true meaning of a Film degree for 80% of film graduates, I've served time in hospitality. I've run a busy town centre pub, night-club, bar and restaurant. All independent, all of which the owners left in my care. One of which I helped re-design another of which I helped moved to London. For the last two years I have been making everyone else's dreams come true. Now it's time to be a little bit selfish and make mine come true.

If you feel we'd be a good match and want to collaborate on cool stuff together don't hesitate to fire me an email
